Safer Internet Day 2010 Conferences
9-10th of February 2010

Celebrating the February 9th as “Safer Internet Day” and in the context of its social responsibility and its efforts to inform the public about Internet issues, Cytanet in collaboration with the CNTI and the Cyberethics program, is organising a  conference on personal data protection  on Tuesday (in Greek) and on Wednesday 10 February 2010 (in English), in Nicosia. This year’s topic is "Think before you post!"

The conference aims at the general public and, in particular, at young people whom we wish to help understand the concept of personal data and the need to protect it. It is also aimed at all those bodies that influence the character of young people and society in general so that measures are taken to ensure a safer cyber environment. The topic of the conference will be analyzed in relation to the Internet, the theft of personal data and measures that can be taken to protect personal information.
